In our interiors, as elsewhere, a small detail can make all the difference. The proof, if necessary, with this decorative accessory that many are neglected, wrongly.
It is however visible on a daily basis, in all the pieces, and plays a role as functional aspects. It is unknown, while it can transform the atmosphere for a handful of euros only.
In a parental room with a bohemian look, a Scandinavian living room or a 1950s kitchen, some elements are obvious: an original suspension, a daring color on the wall, a careful sofa selected. But to look more closely, it is often the well thought out details that give this mastered overall impression, really finished decor. This is where this discreet accessory comes into play. It costs almost nothing, but when it is well chosen, it can change everything.
The decor pros know this: for an interior to seem chic, you also have to think about small equipment. Those that we manipulate without thinking about it, but which, once revisited, bring a real touch of style in addition. And contrary to what one might think, there is no need to invest a fortune. The simplest models start at 15 euros, in DIY or online stores. But there are also high -end versions, in noble materials, at 50, 80, or even 150 euros each.
So what are we talking about? Of an object that is touched every day, often in white plastic, and that we choose by default. However, the models in enameled ceramic, brass or bakelite radically change the atmosphere. Retro with a black, modern dial in ultra-flat square format, joyful with a pastel shade: the design switch returns in force. And in very well decorated houses, it attracts the eye as much as a light or a wallpaper.
Sometimes it is enough to change one to see the effect it creates – look rather at the image of one of the article and its beautiful golden switches. In a corridor, a living room or a bathroom, this small change, of an innocuous appearance, nevertheless gives character and shows that we have thought of everything. This is what distinguishes a banal decor from a neat interior. Like what, the devil is in detail – and the style too!
