This is a comeback that we did not expect. But Valérie Lemercier, the Willy Chavarria label and the Copenhagen Fashion Week gave it back all its brilliance. PAF! He is now on all fashionistas.

There are trends which, thrown in the closet after having experienced immense glory, stand out for many years later without anyone noticing. Formerly excessive, this trend consumed and consumed was reduced to ashes by its too strong omnipresence. 20 years ago, it was bought at the market for a handful of francs.

Made from cotton, cotton canvas or silk, this square of fabric is available in all possible and imaginable colors; is adorned with an easily identifiable paisley -inspired print. Star of the stars, it was carried by the celebrities from all the arts. Timeless, he shone in every decades. Versatile, he sported a different style each time. Already adopted by Valérie Lemercier, this accessory to conquer the Fashionista planet is none other than the Bandana.

On each return to the top, he succeeds in reinventing himself in his way of being carried, by winning various and varied subcultures. In the 80’s, it is knotted around the neck and/or the Rockstars wrist like the Guns N’Roses or the singer Renaud. In the 2000s, in reference to gangs, he invaded the Hip Hop imagination and Thug Coreslips into the jeans pocket or wraps around the head like a headband.

A decade later, hipsters seized it and revive it in tribute to bikers. The last Fashion Week in Copenhagen signs its comeback with a fanfare. Innumerable Danish fashionistas have sported the bandana in all its states: knotted in a triangle on the head, carried in skirt for an original revival, attached like a belt around the waist …

However, well before strolling through the streets of the capital, it was already on the catwalks of the parades. Willy Chavarria (spring-summer 2026, autumn-winter 2025) or Saint Laurent (spring-summer 2019 man) gave him all his trendy legitimacy. The resurgence of the Western trend has also largely contributed to it.

This year, he makes infidelities in his square form and above all subsist his iconic paisley print. The latter thus compared the clothes of celebrities around the world, including those of Valérie Lemercier. It may be time to bring out the one you have neglected all these years …
