While the contenders for the title of Miss France 2026 are already beginning to be elected in the region, Angélique Angarni-Filopon continues her year of reign. With the “Women’s Journal”, she takes stock of the halfway …
Angélique Angarni-Filopon is the first Miss France to have been elected after 30 years. But it has not always been unanimous and was faced with a lively cyberbullying. The beauty queen, who recently participated in the cult game of France 2, Fort Boyardis also in the grip of recurring racist attacks. But she decided to make a strength. She tells the Women’s Journal.
At halfway from your Miss year, what assessment do you draw from this adventure?
Angelique Angarni-Filopon: I would say that you should never take anything for granted. All that happens to me is quite ephemeral, and at the same time, it can be last. It is important for me to observe everything that is going on around me and not to take the big head especially, because next year, is another, and the next year, that will be another. So we can quickly fall into oblivion. You should not neglect any contact, no hand tightening, no frank smile … and above all I remember that I do good to people. And it makes me feel good too, that’s cool.
Is the role of Miss France in conformity with the image that you made of it?
Absolutely, with more surprises. I am completely free from my clothing choices, to make up myself … I am free to post on social networks what I want to post. But I still pay attention to what I publish because there are certain subjects in which I do not take part (she was taken in a controversy around Charlie Hebdo, editor’s note). But I have much more freedom than I thought. It is really a contest that highlights the woman, and whatever she comes from. It helped me even more mature, although I already felt very mature.
While the first regional miss already begin to be elected, what advice can you give to the candidates to prepare for the competition and the final?
It is the most boat advice I can give them: stay themselves! Very often, some who present themselves in elections have already made a thousand before competitions. I think you really have to detach yourself from it all and do Miss France because we want to show who we really are. Most of the time, when they show up in contests, it is because their uncle told them that they were beautiful or that their grandmother dreams of seeing them Miss France since they are small, but it must vibrate in them.
And then, hunting the natural, he is galloping! If you put yourself in a character, it will not be able to last for too long. Critics can either destroy us or strengthen us. In my case, they strengthen me, but another personality can be completely weakened. Finally, you must have real added value! Because Miss France is really there to do people good. And this is what we will strive to do years so as long as the next ones understand it!
