Guest in the Podcast Special Spirituality ABC Talk A few weeks ago, humorist Jeanfi Janssens made confidences about his personal and mystical life. Asked about the suicide of his brother Alexandre over 25 years ago, the member of Big heads has rarely engaged.
Jeanfi Janssens reveals the reasons for his brother’s suicide: “My brother lived it badly”
The memories are still painful. “We have a lot of trouble in this world … Even you just used the word ‘voluntary departure’, we dare not say suicide (…) We must put the words”he said to his interlocutor. “After there is guilt when it is a suicide.continued the former steward.
Jeanfi Janssens returned to the circumstances of the tragic death of his brother Alexandre, while the two children of the latter, Gwenaël and Matthieu, were still very young. “The situation was difficult. My brother had set up businesses, my parents had set up for him (…). A lack of insurance, insurance did not reimburse. My parents found themselves at the head of a debt of one million euros at the time. We had a correct life of average French people, we found ourselves without anything,” he said.
The fate of the humorist was also impacted by these financial difficulties : “I had to study press attaché (…) and it was removed because there was no more money. So I was in the reproach with my brother, because I was a teenager, and the teens are cruel. And my brother lived it badly”he detailed.
The biggest regret of Jeanfi Janssens: “I would have wanted so much … “
Jeanfi Janssens added, in pain: “He redid his life, in any case, he continued. It was to my parents that we took everything (…). And then there was nothing left, I saw the bailiffs coming to my parents …”. It was a few years later that the actor’s brother committed suicide.
“I think that ill-being has settled well, its reconstruction was complicated. Then his painful loves. He chose to leave. And I had yelled with him, and we did not reconcile before he left. And you necessarily say to yourself ‘Did it play?'”then added the one on tour throughout France, and in the United States, with his show Hey.
Asked about his regrets with regard to the death of his brother, Karine Lemarchand’s friend did not chew his words: “We expected it the letter that allows you to mourn possible. But we had nothing. That assumptions, that our interpretations (…) I would have wanted to be in peace with that. Today is my greatest regret not to be calmed with him before he leaves. And that’s why I often speak to him in my mystical comments”.
Despite everything, Jeanfi Janssens does not want his brother: “It’s his choice, and you have to respect that (…) It is he who tells me that you have to go for it, and then that I don’t have so much to lose in life. She can change in five minutes, life”.
