Living the life of Elon Musk is possible (or almost). Yachts, private islands, luxury houses… An online game allows you to “spend” the billionaire’s fortune.

He is the richest man in the world, but also and above all, the richest man of all time. Elon Musk has a portfolio worth more than $700 billion, according to the latest estimates of his fortune. And if we are to believe economic predictions, he could become the first billionaire in the world (with more than 1,000 billion) by 2027. With such a bank account, it would take no less than 2,740 years to spend it all… at a rate of a million dollars per day! And this is without taking into account the average annual growth of its assets, which is around 109%, and which could therefore further increase the rating. At 54, Elon Musk hasn’t finished reaching for the stars.

These figures are beyond comprehension, especially for us poor mortals: it is completely impossible to imagine such a fortune, it is beyond anything we can imagine. But there is a game that allows you to put yourself in the shoes of the Tesla boss, trying to spend all his billions in his place. Spoiler: we tried, and it’s mission impossible.

Eat out four times a day for 8,000 years (yes), own 30 “mega yachts” and as many private islands, influence 50 high-ranking politicians, give $10,000 to 500,000 people, start 10 start-ups, book a hundred private superstar concerts, spend a week in every country in the world, buy a “mega mansion” in Los Angeles, a luxury apartment in Paris, a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, a Bugatti La Voiture Noire, launching a satellite in our name into space, producing a Hollywood film, becoming the owner of the famous Mona Lisa and a Formula 1 team… You will have understood: we have filled our virtual basket, imagining a life of luxury beyond our wildest dreams. And yet.

Despite all these extravagant purchases, we only managed to spend a tiny portion of Elon Musk’s money. 16 billion and 682 million dollars to be exact, or barely 3.33% of his fortune. The worst? The simulator is not entirely up to date: we “only” have 500 billion, the estimate at the start of 2025, still far from today’s 744 billion. Compared to his current fortune, our expenses therefore only represent 2.24% of the total! We find this “game” like no other on spend-elon-fortune.com or on the mobile application “Spend Elon Musk’s Money”: it takes the form of a shopping site, where you can add various products to your basket.

From a simple PlayStation to a Netflix subscription for the next 80 years, including a university degree, cosmetic surgery, luxury cars and watches, boats and other private jets, or even a battle tank… With Elon Musk’s money, you can buy almost everything. The risk is above all in getting a taste for it. The return to reality is not the easiest, and for our part, we already know what our wish will be for the new year!
