The best day of your life has been approaching, and you have planned everything in the smallest detail for a year. Except that you cannot always master everything. Our advice to better manage the unexpected on D -Day!

You have planned your wedding for 12 months in the smallest detail and yet, you are not immune to certain little unexpected people on D -Day. Inshaeps, family disputes, small accidents, delays, stain on the dress … Wedding hiccups can be numerous, and generally, they are linked. Admittedly, you will probably laugh for years later, but in the meantime, here is how to avoid the worst.

1 – If the rain replaces the sun

“”Happy marriage, older marriage“Try to reassure the guests when it rains … Except that you are waiting for a beautiful blue and sun sky, and this is what motivated your choice to set the date in August. In any case, plan a plan B if you organize a cocktail outside (a arbor or another small interior room that could accommodate your guests). Also, not to spoil your wedding photos and you find you Dragging, plan a beautiful white, transparent umbrella, or decorated according to your wedding theme, as well as some other models for your guests.

2 – Manage family arguments

On your wedding day, tensions resurface! Indeed, your brother-in-law had not addressed his cousin for years. And there are many family stories. Although you have paid attention to the placement of the guests on your table plan, you are not immune to arguments. Not to mention that some people let go a bit on alcohol … To prevent your marriage from degenerating in big fights, designate a calm, strong and imposing person, capable of mastering the situation during the evening if necessary. And remind everyone how important this day is for you.

3 – Provide a first aid kit

You never know, the emergency kit can be useful, especially for the small sores of children (and adults!). Also provide some drugs in case of fatigue, stomach aches, or uneasiness linked to stress. Finally, also remember to take your pill so as not to be indisposed on D -Day!

4 – Avoid delays

The bride is often desired, to arrive like a princess under the amazed gaze of the future husband. But spent some time, we can’t help but think that she has changed her mind. To avoid being late on D -day, plan to do everything in the same place (makeup, hairstyle, etc.), not far from the place of the ceremony. If necessary, do not hesitate to accommodate the important people around (your parents, brothers and sisters, witnesses) around the mayor or the priest.

5 – Establish a contact sheet

On D -Day, you will not have a second to contact the various providers, and besides, you will not have your smartphone on you! Nevertheless, even if you give a few guidelines to your witness and close friends, plan a sheet that lists all the telephone contacts of your service providers, and designate a few reachable throughout the day.

6 – To each his role

It is essential that each person knows what they have to do on your wedding day. Bring the alliances, take photos, bring the guests together in the room, take care of papers or gifts, welcome providers, accompany you by car, get the bouquet with the florist the same morning … The tasks are numerous, so do not hesitate to make a list so as not to forget anything. Finally, ask that everyone confirms that you can count on them.

7 – Provide a sewing kit

The dress that clings to a door and tears, a glass of wine that turns out and it is drama! The spoiled photos, the disappointment in front of the guests … like the emergency kit, plan what is necessary to sew if necessary or catch up with the shot.

8 – Call on a wedding planner

Because they are also there to manage the unforeseen events of everyday life and coordinate the providers on D -Day, do not hesitate to call on a pro to take advantage of your day, without stressing!
