Happy birthday to the sparkling Magloire! The columnist and TV host celebrates his 55th birthday on June 11, 2024. But what happens to him today?
And one more candle for Magloire! On this June 11, this flagship figure of the small screen left his mark on an entire generation and especially the PAF of the 2000s. It must be said that this one has multiplied the broadcasts on television: Generation Fun, Morning Live with Michael Youn, It’s not too early !, Morning Café or Crazy Gay with Virginie Efira… As he celebrates his birthday, here’s what he became (spoiler, he didn’t leave the little window)!
What does Magloire do for a living in 2024?
After years without news from him, Magloire Delcros-Varaud – his full name – has been talked about again on a few occasions such as when he briefly participated in the show The Great Darka by Cyril Hanouna on C8, in 2019. But, above all, since 2023 he has been the host of a new show: Resemblance. He is in charge of this documentary series broadcast on TV5 Monde and of which season 2 has been renewed for 2024 (it started last March).
Every week, a 26-minute episode broadcast on the channel and on the free global platform TV5MONDEplus, retraces “journeys which have led women and men to France through trials, doubts but also moments of joy.” A whole program, far from the fantasies and antics of Morning Live !
“I am lucky to have grown up with a Catholic mother, part of whose family was Jewish. She introduced me to pagodas, mosques… to reach out to other cultures. If I do this show, which was cut out for me, is because I have this incredible open-mindedness, instilled since I was little”, Magloire recently confided in the pages of the magazine 7 Days TV. Will a third season see the light of day with Magloire? Yes, if we believe his words, “it’s on track”, he told the magazine.
What are Magloire’s plans?
When he is not hosting the show ResemblanceMagloire plays the character of fakir Magik in Fort Boyard and this since 2019. “facetious genius character” which it will continue to hold this summer. But that’s not all. Magloire is currently alone on stage with Prayer to love. “It’s not a one-man show, nor a musical… it’s an unidentified theatrical object, which has no other purpose than to say ‘I love you'”he detailed in 7 Days TV.
In parallel with his professional activity, Magloire personally fights against his morbid obesity, which occurred after the death of his mother. “I lost 27 kilos. Courage is solving your problems and tackling them head on.“, he declared to the host Jordan de Luxe. We wish him success in this fight against his extra pounds and another happy birthday.
