Has Gad Elmaleh had hair implants? The 54-year-old comedian spoke to Laurent Baffie about his physique and the “terrible” thing, according to him, that he did to his hair…

If Gad Elmaleh takes full responsibility today, he has long been self-conscious about his physique. The actor, now 54 years old, spoke about his hair problems with Laurent Baffie, on his podcast Colonoscopy…

Gad Elmaleh, self-conscious: what he did that was “terrible” against white hair

“You know what I did for a while, and it’s terrible, pathetic, depressing?“, first blurted out the comedian, ready to confide in the face of the PAF sniper. “I don’t judge those who do it, but here I am: I dyed my hair. I’m completely coming out!”he revealed before specifying that today, he preferred the natural color of his hair. “I feel so much better, I feel less old with white hair“, he added frankly.

The actor also admitted that he had already had hair implants and had even made an appointment at a clinic whose name he kept silent. But he quickly realized that he would probably not go unnoticed in this establishment: “They told me: ‘We have a basic rule here, it’s discretion. (…) Because we can’t afford, with all the people coming (…) For example, if I tell you that Vincent Cassel did implants, do you know that?’ I say: ‘No.’ He says: ‘Well, there you go, it’s us!'” recounted Gad Elmaleh, who had just discovered that the notion of “discretion“was relative…

Gad Elmaleh: “I am sober on my hair”

For several years, the native of Casablanca has wanted to remain as natural as possible. “I was tempted by sobriety, in the very broad sense of the term. We talk about alcohol but it can be emotional, spiritual… and capillary. You have someone in front of you who is sober in terms of hair.” he assured last April in front of the cameras of 50’Inside.

Since a young age, Gad Elmaleh had complexes related to his hair. “I was quite self-conscious when I was a kid. I wore a cap because I didn’t like having curly hair, I straightened myself with a product that burned my scalp“, he told RTL.

Today, the father of Noé, 25 years old, born from his former love with the dancer Anne Brochet, and of Raphaël, 12 years old, fruit of his former union with Charlotte Casiraghi, feels relatively good about himself, but one detail still complicates him: the skin of his neck which he does not find firm enough and which gives him an effect which he nicknames “pelican neck“.
