At 32, Sarah Knafo is today the one whose name comes up repeatedly in French political life. First discovered as an advisor to Eric Zemmour for the 2022 presidential election – and presented at that time as his partner, by stolen photos of Paris Match – she has since become a Member of the European Parliament. The young woman, originally from Pavillons-sous-Bois (in Seine-Saint-Denis), is now aiming for Paris town hall.
Since declaring her candidacy to succeed Anne Hidalgo in the chair of mayor of the capital, Sarah Knafo has only risen in poll after poll. So much so that in the latest one, published by IFOP-FIDUCIAL for South Radio And Opinionthe far-right politician is now in 4th place with 11% of voting intentions, tied with her far-left rival, LFI candidate Sophia Chikirou! An official recognition which appears in particular in her official CV published by the European Parliament, where she has been a member of parliament since 2024.
Sarah Knafo, who recruited the former singer Koxie to her lists, was decorated with the medal of honor for an act of courage and dedication, by the prefect of Seine-Saint-Denis, Georges-François Leclerc. For what ?
She received this medal for her action as a “senior official in Covid-19 reinforcement” at the Seine-Saint-Denis prefecture during the first wave of the pandemic. At the time, the one who advocates the union of the rights in the second round of municipal elections in Paris and could rally behind Rachida Dati to make the left lose the capital, led by Emmanuel Grégoire, was then a magistrate at the Court of Auditors and had volunteered to lend a hand to the prefectural administration in managing the health crisis.
