Julien Doré wouldn’t trade his daily life surrounded by nature in the Cévennes, where he was born, for anything in the world. For about seven years, the singer, who released his new album called Impostorresides in a quiet house and enjoys living far from the hustle and bustle of Paris. He spoke about his daily life in Gala.
Julien Doré and his dream house: “There is nothing, just nature”
The 42-year-old artist has always dreamed of living surrounded by nature. It was also the first long-term goal he set after his victory at New Star in 2007.”My dream was to have enough money a day to buy a house and live in nature with my dogs. Everything fell into place and, besides, I’m a dad, I don’t need anything else, I live what I wanted“, explained the man who is now the father of a three-year-old boy and has two White Swiss Shepherds called Jean-Marc and Simone.
Through his window he sees “the sky, the plains” : “There is nothing, just nature, and on the other side, the forest, the dogs, the wild boars, the oaks.” The singer absolutely wanted to raise his son far from Paris. “When I found out I was going to be a dad, I thought living here would be less scary. Paris is a city that scares me. Even alone, she freaked me out. How do we manage the nursery and the hospital?“, he remembered.
Julien Doré, not about to leave the Cévennes! “It has become my essential”
Julien Doré even has a vegetable garden to which he devotes part of his daily life! “Antoine, who mixes my albums, is a fan of permaculture, I learned with him and I grow my vegetables. We are at the end of tomatoes, they are delicious. The end of the zucchini too. I also have eggplants, potatoes…“, he explained, visibly passionate about the subject.
Today, the artist – who keeps the identity of his partner a mystery – cannot imagine living anywhere else. “It has become my essential. It brings me back to what I am, to what I should be as a man and a father.“, he assured West France. So he found his paradise on earth.
