The new coach of the Blues has built an astonishing real estate portfolio. Having lived in Spain for a long time, he is a multi-owner there and also has property in France….
The legend continues for the French football team. After months of rumors, the French Federation has finally made the good news official: it is Zinédine Zidane who succeeds Didier Deschamps as coach! But where does the 54-year-old world champion live?
Zinédine Zidane: her impressive villa in Madrid
Having withdrawn from football since his departure from Real Madrid, for which he was coach, in 2021, Zizou was only waiting for one thing: to take over the reins of the team that made him shine. It is now done. And this is where a new organization is announced for the 1998 Ballon d’or. For a long time, Zidane and his family have been based in Spain.
In 2001, Zinédine and Véronique Zidane, as well as their four boys – Enzo, Luca, Théo and Elyaz – settled in Madrid. The footballer currently resides in a very popular neighborhood, nicknamed the French quarter, the Conde de Orgaz. His four children all attended the local French high school.
According to our colleagues at Parisiana residence in this corner of the city, located ten kilometers northeast of Puerta del Sol, would cost between 1.8 and 5.4 million euros. But nothing to scare Didier Deschamps’ sidekick. With his wife, they own an exceptional villa of more than 1000m2. Installed in a park of some 3000m2, it is made up of five bedrooms, as many bathrooms, a swimming pool, a mini-football pitch, a tennis court and even, more incongruously, a gymnasium. A property estimated at between 6 and 7 million euros today.
Zinédine Zidane “feels like he’s from Madrid”: what about France?
But it is not the only property of Zinédine Zidane, according to The Parisian. He also reportedly owns two apartments in Madrid, a villa near Lake San Juan and two properties in Ibiza. His wife would also be the happy owner of a house in the Almería region, in Andalusia.
“I feel from Madrid, from the club, from this city“, he declared at a press conference. But, still very attached to France, the native of Marseille sometimes visits his parents who still live in the Marseille city and has even opened two sports centers in Istres and Aix-en-Provence. The Z5 are dedicated to five-a-side football and padel.
The Zidanes are also very attached to the Aveyron region, the birthplace of Véronique who is originally from Onet-le-Château, a town bordering Rodez. The couple bought a house there, a true family haven of peace, and Zizou, Honorary Citizen of the town, even invested in the RAF, the Rodez football club.
“Rodez, I have it in my heart. It’s my haven of peace“, he also declared in a video with young people from the club, indicates Eurosport. His eldest son, Enzo, signed for this club in June 2021 before leaving in 2022 to join the Spanish team CF Fuenlabrada.
