A welcome tip during the holidays, in large supermarket parking lots where you don’t have your bearings.
Finding your car in a crowded parking lot is a more common problem than you think. It only takes a few seconds of inattention for information to disappear. And once back, even by turning several times in the same alleys, nothing comes back to us. We believe we recognize an area, a post, a neighboring car, but doubt settles and waste time. This annoying little inconvenience, however, has a very simple solution, already at hand.
This is not a new app to install or an expensive gadget, but an existing feature that few people think of using. It requires no particular effort, works on both Android and iPhone, and can be activated in two seconds. Concretely, here is how the operation takes place: once parked, just open the application, click on the blue point indicating your position, then select “Save the parking”. A pin is added to the precise place where you stopped, which you can find later by consulting the card or by clicking on “registered parking”.
On Android, the option is accessible to everyone, without additional handling. On iPhone, you must first authorize permanent access to location as well as movement data so that the function is fully operational. The message “You parked near here” is then displayed independently.
And for those who wish to go further, the app also allows you to add notes (to indicate, for example, the floor of a covered parking) or to activate a timer in the event of limited parking. An option signed Google Maps. Also, beyond the local supermarket, this function can be very useful abroad, in an airport car park or at the exit of a concert, when the mind is elsewhere and the benchmarks are lacking. To remember!
