Always radiant, Estelle Lefébure has a well-kept beauty secret that she has passed on to her children. Interview.
Flagship model of the 90s, beauty and fashion icon, actress… We no longer need to introduce Estelle Lefébure. For decades, the Frenchwoman has inspired dreams both with her sunny aura and her immaculate style. On the occasion of the launch of her capsule collection with the Grain de Malice brand, we were able to exchange a few words with her. It’s impossible not to talk about beauty routines with someone on whom time seems to have no influence. If she has always been able to stay at the top, it is perhaps also thanks to very specific rituals, rigorously transmitted to her daughters. The ex-model is banking on the effectiveness of a fundamental gesture that she considers non-negotiable. A reflex repeated every evening, which, according to her, is the real key to maintaining a radiant complexion and healthy skin over the years.
Although the beauty landscape has changed, Estelle Lefébure wanted to remain simple. While tutorials and advice are popping up all over the web, for the star there are no frills: “I find that today, we are adding a lot of things. There are a lot of products and steps. I can’t tell you if it’s good or bad, I don’t want to make generalizations… I’ve never done that much.” Her routine remains short, effective and is based above all on a non-negotiable step: removing makeup. A reflex that she passed on to her children: “It’s a gesture that I have always done and still do. I even showed it to my daughters. And there is no one who can go to bed if she has a little makeup on.“Even if on a daily basis, she is the type to only wear mascara, a touch of blush and a touch of gloss, there is no question of deviating from her number one rule.
Estelle Lefébure’s insistence on removing makeup is not without scientific basis and is even becoming crucial in our modern environments. Sleeping with makeup can clog pores, cause irritation and breakouts. Leaving impurities accumulated throughout the day can accelerate the breakdown of collagen and the appearance of signs of aging. Removing make-up is therefore the skin’s first line of defense, preparing the ground so that the treatments applied afterwards can truly penetrate and act. Estelle Lefébure is absolutely right to never skip this step. “With the pollution of the day, we can also have dust. I ride horses a lot too, so I need to wash my face well. I can’t fall asleep otherwise, it’s a very important gesture and one that hasn’t changed“, she continues.
A simple, universal advice transmitted with conviction: the timeless radiance of Estelle Lefébure proves that sometimes, when it comes to beauty, the secret lies in the essential.
