Materials needed to create the napkin knot
To make your napkin ring, you will only need a few things that you may already have at home!
- 2 x 40 cm of cotton thread 9 mm in diameter
- 1 leftover colored cotton thread
- 1 pair of scissors
- 1 comb
- 1 empty toilet paper roll
Steps 1 and 2
Place a piece of wire vertically. Form a loop over it with the second thread. Then, pass the bottom of the vertical wire over then under the two ends of the loop.
Steps 3 and 4

Then pass this thread through the loop, to the right of the vertical thread. Then bring it out through the loop, to the left of the vertical thread. Pull on the four ends of the thread to form the knot.
Steps 5 and 6

Place the knot on a toilet paper roll. Then, bring the four threads together at the back by surrounding them with several turns of colored cotton.
Step 7 and the result

Remove the cardboard. Comb the fringes and trim them to even them out. All you have to do is place your napkin inside the pretty bow.
