Turin is not a violent city, it is a great capital of charity and social solidarity: she cannot accept being disfigured in this identity of hers, being manipulated in this way by lovers of violence.
He must forcefully denounce those who unleashed the guerrilla war on Saturday evening and we are close to the victims and the injured, to the police; at the same time we must address the roots of the suffering of our time, not confusing the violent fringes with the thousands of people who demonstrate peacefully.
I believe that those who have responsibilities today must make the effort to do not confuse the unacceptable excesses of some with the mild sentiment of the majority and with the silent suffering of many who experience poverty and marginalization. Turin has always known how to bend down to heal wounds before punishing. We will stop the violence, but we must not hide this suffering and those who work for dialogue.
