In the millions of documents from the Epstein affair, revealed to the general public, several names of stars are cited. Including that of Céline Dion. The diva never interacted with the late billionaire but an employee working for her, yes… Bad luck to her!
The United States Department of Justice recently posted 3 million documents online from the Jeffrey Epstein affair, named after the American billionaire who died in 2019 while at the heart of a global minor trafficking scandal. Inside, we find the names of a slew of personalities ranging from Jack Lang to Princess Mette-Marit of Norway via Flora Coquerel and… Céline Dion. But having your name in these documents does not mean having interacted with the businessman. Some are cited there through intermediaries.
This is the case of the Quebec singer, because of her former luxury villa in Florida…
A man working for Celine Dion contacted Jeffrey Epstein without telling him
This is the site Montreal Gazette who made this unexpected discovery. Indeed, John Christensen, a real estate agent whose company was responsible for selling the villa on Jupiter Island, in Florida, belonging to Celine Dion, contacted Jeffrey Epstein by email to offer him “an unofficial visit” of “magnificent real estate complex“. When it was put up for sale in 2014, the initial price was $72 million! He offered her a visit on Thanksgiving Day but shouldn’t have done it…
“Apparently, this was grounds for breach of contract… So I was fired today for not having Céline’s best interests at heart. It was made clear to me not to organize the visit. It’s my fault… I should have listened“, he wrote in the emails. He claimed to have been fired and to have had “5 minutes to clear your desk“! John Christensen assured Jeffrey Epstein that the price was negotiable because the house, which was very expensive, was having difficulty finding a buyer.
Jeffrey Epstein not convinced by Céline Dion’s house: “Too much work”
In the rest of the documents studied by our colleagues, we learn that the real estate agent – who requested the help of Jeffrey Epstein having found himself suddenly unemployed and took on the role of property manager for him – even offered, the year after his dismissal, to show the financier Céline Dion’s villa. The property of the performer of the hits my heart Will Go On And The Power of Love930 m² of living space with 13 rooms and a water park bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, however, did not convince the businessman.
He had considered the house too difficult to resell and mentioned too much work to arrange it according to his wishes. Celine Dion’s XXL villa was finally sold in 2017 to a trust for around $38 million. Nothing indicates in the documents that the star had the slightest exchange with Jeffrey Epstein during his lifetime. Nor even that she was aware of the billionaire’s visit to her ex-home.
