Easy to wear and far from fleeting trends, these shoes are an obvious choice this season for renewing your wardrobe without any hassle.

This spring, there is no need to multiply pairs to vary the looks. Just one is enough to do the job. Indeed, one shoe in particular is coming back to the forefront, with a simple, easy-to-wear shape. It is intended to be unisex and therefore blends in perfectly with any look.

On the catwalks of Miu Miu, Tory Burch and Calvin Klein, this pair initially surprised. Too classic for some, not fashionable enough for others and yet, a few months later, it is everywhere. On the street, on the networks, in stores… Its strong point is its recognizable shape, close to classic city shoes, but revisited with a thinner and lighter line. Nothing rigid or heavy, on the contrary, it adapts easily to everyday outfits.

Originally, there was nothing trendy about this model. It was designed as a practical shoe for men, used for hunting in the 19th century, before becoming a reference in military and then professional circles. This past explains its solid structure and its functional side. Today, it is evolving, offering softer, more comfortable versions, often in smooth leather, calfskin, suede, and sometimes even in synthetic materials.

In practice, it’s a shoe that works with almost everything. With straight jeans and a sweater, it gives a clean result. It’s typically the kind of outfit that you can wear every day, without asking any questions. You can also pair it with shorts with a shirt or blazer, and add visible socks to add a little style. This type of look, somewhat inspired by the preppy wardrobe, is coming back a lot this season.

It also works very well with more casual pieces. A sweatshirt, denim shorts, an open or layered shirt, and shoes add structure to the whole look. This prevents the outfit from looking too “sporty” or too loose. Same logic with strong colors, like green, which is very present at the moment: the shoe calms things down and balances the whole. In short, we’re talking about derbies here.

Our favorites are particularly the Monoprix split leather derbies at 69.99 euros, also the Markus derbies in glossy black Sézane at 170 euros or the ultra classic version sold at Zara for 29.95 euros. A perfect match between style and comfort.
