Stagnant humidity here can weaken the entire structure. Don’t just take a quick peek into the attic. Check the condition of the frame and the thickness of the insulation to avoid crazy energy bills. Finally, the roof is the shield of your investment. A roof to be redone is clearly one of the most expensive projects.

Another point very often overlooked by future owners: the view. Are you enjoying a peaceful field or wasteland today? There is no guarantee that it will remain so. “A space cleared today can accommodate a construction tomorrow”, warns the founder of Myproject-immo. His golden advice? “It is essential to consult the Local Urban Plan (PLU) at the town hall to anticipate developments in the neighborhood” and avoid seeing a building growing in front of your windows in two years.

In an apartment, the examination must be just as rigorous.
