This couple of young retirees decided to renovate this family home in Pyla. They wanted to make the place warmer to welcome everyone. The property was on two floors, but the clients asked Marguerite of Concept Habitation to renovate only the ground floor. It’s a beautiful surface area of 115 m² with four bedrooms and quite a few things to see. For example, the living room needed to be redesigned to optimize space and make it more user-friendly. There were some inconsistencies, such as a kitchen accessible only through the dining room and separated from the living room by a large hallway. There were only two bathrooms, which was not enough. Lots of space with square meters that were not used, but the architect managed to find a use for them so that everyone felt good. Finally, the dated decoration needed a good change.
Bring comfort into this family home
Marguerite tackled the living space. By tearing down the partition in the kitchen and living room (overlooking the hallway), she enlarged the room and arranged it so that it could accommodate many guests. To increase the brightness of the living room, the architect swapped the two windows for a large bay window overlooking the garden, she did the same in the master bedroom. She also managed to ensure that the three bedrooms could each have their own bathroom. The corridors enlarge the rooms and one of them has even become an office. As for the decoration, the clients wanted rather light elements, in pastel shades, with touches of straw, which remind us that it is a holiday home. This property now combines comfort and style.
