Nicoletta may have experienced five-star hotels and Parisian luxury, but she spends happy days in a “very modest” house in the heart of a small village. The 82-year-old singer wouldn’t trade this lifestyle for anything in the world…

A native of Vongy, which is now a district of Thonon-les-Bains, Nicoletta could not live without her mountains. The 82-year-old singer, who continues her church tour in 2026, may have experienced the spotlight, Parisian parties and luxury hotels, but for her, nothing beats the place where she grew up… and where she currently resides!

Nicoletta lives in her grandmother’s house: “It’s charming”

The interpreter of The sun is deadin a relationship with Jean-Christophe Molinier, now lives in the house that belonged to his grandmother, in a small village in Haute-Savoie. And she hardly needs pomp to enjoy her daily life. “I’m happy as soon as I open the door to the house again. I live in a small village“, she declared on the microphone of the show In my suitcase by Amandine Bégot, on RTL. And to specify: “It’s very modest, it’s charming“.

Nicoletta, angry with her friend Bernard Lavilliers, “feels good“in the house that belonged to his grandmother:”It’s full of memories (…) I always say it feels like I’m going back to my mother’s womb.“As for her neighbors, she has been around them for a long time.”I have a friend who always flowers my family’s grave“, she said for example while assuring: “The Savoyards are a little rough, but when you have their friendship, they would give you their skin“.

Nicoletta, “treated like a princess” in luxury hotels

This simple and quiet living environment suits her perfectly, even if the singer appreciates the glitz and glitter of her job. “I admit that when I am invited, thanks to my work, I am entitled to five stars. For example, last year I was the godmother of the Red Cross dinner and it took place in the beautiful hotel at the tip of Antibes, Cap-Eden-Roc. I was treated like a princess for three days“, she recalled on RTL, before specifying: “I like luxury (…) but after a while it’s okay, it’s not my education“.

The one who often spends her vacations in the Gard does not hate Paris that much. When she had to move to the capital at the start of her career, the adaptation was not easy: “The first years, I remember, I had the spleen of my mountains“. But she ended up appreciating the City of Lights: “Little by little, I got used to Paris because it’s the city that brings me luck. This is the city where I have the center of my interest, etc. But still, I never felt Parisian“. Nicoletta much prefers the calm of Lake Geneva to the stress of the main Parisian arteries!
