For years, Jimmy Mohamed educates the general public to good nutrition and health practices. Between his interventions on France 5 and his very followed publications on social networks, he imposed himself as a reference in the field. However, like many, he has experienced weight fluctuations. It was after the birth of his third child that he wanted to regain control. “”We decided to lose weight for two. Jimmy Mohamed then tested several approaches. He tried the soups as a meal, drastically reduces his consumption of sugar and intensified his physical activity. But the results were not up to his expectations. “”I tried several without success. Sport alone was not enough and reducing portions was not sustainable in the long term“, he explains. He then discovered a method which allowed him to find a balance: the intermittent fasting. This approach was a real turning point for him, by offering him lasting and satisfactory results.
This is why, he wanted to insist on an essential point: understanding how his body works and how food influences our health is essential. “”Many people do not know why they gain weight. After many tests and errors, Jimmy Mohamed ended up finding the method that worked for him: “Personally, I practice intermittent fasting and I think it is one of the keys that allowed me to maintain this stable weight (…) Studies show that it promotes weight loss and gain of energy“, He said on the Buzz TV set in 2023. This practice alternates periods of food restriction and normal meal periods.
He chose to adopt the 16/8 protocol, which consists of fasting for 16 hours and concentrating his diet on an 8 hour window. “”It is not compulsory to have breakfast, contrary to what the food industry made us believe“He says. A strategy that therefore allowed him to lose 12 pounds, but also to adopt a more balanced lifestyle.
