Difficult to imagine that this studio bathed in light, with graphic and modern composition, was once only a disused volume. Located on the ground floor of a Versaillais building, a stone’s throw from the famous castle, it was not a housing per se, mainly serving as storage to the inhabitants of the upper floors. The deplorable state of the 24 m² available, however, did not prevent the prime contractor Alexandre Widhoff from seeing an unexploited potential. And to succeed in this muscular renovation, he naturally mandated the interior designer Émilie Thuillez, with whom he had already worked. Story of a happy collaboration.
Offer a real identity to the studio
The objective of the renovation was not simply to make this 24 m² space living space. It was indeed important that the studio obtained, intended for rental, is distinguished from similar goods on the market. Émilie Thuillez therefore brought a graphic vision to the project where the colors, invited with subtlety, make all the difference. Between deep green, ocher yellow and black tips, the studio has gained in contrast and personality. In the service of decoration, these colorful flattens also contributed to the structuring of this largely open space.
