For this 2026 edition, the brochures 97 banking establishments were dissected by Panorabanques. This classification is broken down according to seven profiles (22-year-old, employee, executive, senior executive, trader, business manager and retiree). There you will find the 2026 annual fees invoiced by your bank based on the price lists available on February 15, 2026.
Each profile is assigned consumption habits for banking services (payment cards, transfers, withdrawals abroad). In each case, the à la carte prices (by adding the prices of the different services specified in each profile) and that of the cheapest package (in which all the services necessary for each profile are present) were compared, and the most interesting of the two was retained in our tables. When the package was the cheapest, its name is specified.
Account maintenance fees are becoming more widespread
This year, we observe that fees have increased by 1.5% on average, according to Panorabanques. This is half a point above inflation (1% in 2025). Another lesson from the survey, online banks BoursoBank And Fortuneo are often found at the top of the rankings. The free bank card helps to lower the bill. For other establishments, it is necessary to pay attention to account maintenance fees becoming widespread. They amount to 23.40 euros per year on average in 2026, up 5.90% over one year.
Displaced withdrawals, i.e. those made in a ATM (DAB) in the colors of a bank other than its own, also cost more and more. Panorabanques estimates the average annual cost at 17.70 euros for a customer making four withdrawals per month with their traditional bank card in 2026, compared to 12.75 euros in 2023. To reduce your bank bill even further, you must monitor your overdraft fees. Online banks are significantly cheaper since most of them do not charge intervention fees or information letters for unauthorized debtor accounts.
