Denitsa Ikonomova is back on French small screens. After a long break away from the dance floor, the 39-year-old Bulgarian finally returns to the program that made her famous in France, Dancing With The Stars. And this year, she forms a duo with the international star of the season, Ian Zering, known for his role in the series Beverly Hills 90210.
Denitsa Ikonomova, overwhelmed mother: why she had to move to Paris
Delighted to return to the show that revealed her to the general public, the one who won the competition four times (with Rayane Bensetti, Loïc Nottet, Laurent Maistret and Clément Remiens) constantly juggles between her life as a mother and her passion for dance. “I, who was very spontaneous, find myself much more disciplined today. I had to move back to Paris and bring my mother, due to lack of space in a crèche for my daughter”for example, said the one who nevertheless prefers the calm of the south of France to the frenzy of the capital. “Luckily, my darling (François Alu, whom she met on the floor of Dancing with the stars in 2021 while they were both jurors, editor’s note) is also very present and encourages me enormously. He’s my number 1 fan.”she said, still very much in love.
Denitsa Ikonomova: her daughter, future dancer too?
A fulfilled mother, Denitsa Ikonomova therefore took a very long break to fully take care of her daughter, born in November 2024. But today she is delighted to join her colleagues on TF1 on Friday evenings to indulge in her first passion: dancing.
A passion that she could well have passed on to her daughter, with her partner. “She’s still little for dancing, but she loves music”said the young mother in the columns of TV Star. Before specifying: “We make her listen to classical, jazz, variety, and she moves when she hears all that. She takes her sense of rhythm from her parents”.
