For many years, Isabelle Huppert has been faithful to this powerful and legendary perfume at the same time.

Actress, producer, Balenciaga muse, and model in her spare time… Isabelle Huppert really has more than one string to her bow. A true beauty icon, she inspires us every day. Obviously, for a legendary actress, there had to be a legendary perfume. For several years, the star has been faithful to a powerful and captivating fragrance, but also a monument of French perfumery. Forget the sweet juices or the timid scents that evaporate in the snap of your fingers: the interpreter of The Pianist swears by this bouquet of white flowers with a fiery temperament. Created just after the war by a visionary and slightly rebellious woman, this nectar has become the ultimate symbol of Parisian audacity.

Between Isabelle Huppert and this great house, it is a love story that has lasted for decades. In several interviews, she spoke of her attachment to a particular juice. In 2018, for example, during a conversation with the British media The Guardian, the journalist asked him his favorite smell. She then responds bluntly: “Fracas perfume by Robert Piguet.” Before that, Fracas remained the perfume she cited most regularly in the pages of beauty magazines. In 2012, this couple became official: to celebrate her unwavering bond with the brand, the house launched an ultra-limited edition of the bottle (only 400 copies worldwide), of which Isabelle Huppert is the muse. For the occasion, the bottle features the actress’s name engraved on the label. She describes herself the perfume as a mixture of paradoxes, finding it at once natural, sophisticated, fatal and maternal.

And it must be said that Fracas has a very special history. It was created in 1948 by Germaine Cellier, one of the first renowned women perfumers and above all one of the most modern of her time. She is also at the origin of several cult fragrances, notably Vent Vert by Balmain. When she imagines the juice for Robert Piguet, she mixes tuberose absolute from India, orange blossom absolute from Tunisia, jasmine from France and orris root butter from Italy, among others. Today, Fracas is still considered the first great tuberose perfume, and one of the most famous florals of all time. Its smell is still very modern.

It is therefore an open secret that Isabelle Huppert fully embraces, making Fracas one of the rare fashion accessories that she cites with as much consistency as her favorite designers.
