For some people, the only element that counts during a marriage is love that unites the two newlyweds. However, this is not everyone’s opinion … Indeed, according to a recent survey carried out by Yomoni, leader in online savings management with 1,105 people residing in France (aged of 18 and over), for 71% of French people, it is above all the money that makes the success of a wedding. It must be said that organizing such an event has a cost. Between the rental of the reception room, the caterer, the DJ, the decoration, the flowers, the alliances, the outfits of the bride and groom and sometimes the rental of the accommodation for the guests … In general, this is in several thousands of ‘euros. On average, a wedding which brings together at least 100 guests amounts to 12,000 euros.
Of course, most couples who are ready to get married are based on their means. There is no priori fixed budget to organize a wedding. However, the French also have a well -decided opinion on the amount to spend to organize a real beautiful ceremony.
Still according to Yomoni’s study, for almost 1 in 2 French people, a beautiful wedding costs around 20,000 euros. The final budget allocated must be between 15,000 euros and 25,000 euros. Such a sum necessarily obliges the bride and groom to save well upstream. On this point, the people interviewed during the investigation are unanimous: marry rhyme with savings. In detail, “62 % are completely convinced of the need to predict upstream a budget and only 21 % in part”. Without forgetting, that in certain cultures, the practice of the dowry remains well rooted in customs. It is therefore one more expense to be expected for some newlyweds …
