Bénabar and his family have been living in a very pretty village in the south of France for several years now. But if the singer is delighted by this way of life, his neighbor is rather annoyed by one of his habits…
At 57, Bénabar is an accomplished artist. Currently on tour throughout France to defend his latest album, The Sun of the Absenthe rediscovered the joy of the stage. And on the personal side, the songwriter and performer is just as happy.
Bénabar installed in the South: what annoys his neighbor
A few years ago, with his wife, Stéphanie, and their two children, Manolo, 22, and Ludmila, 17, they invested in a very beautiful stone house, typical of the South of France, in the Luberon. Located in Gordes, one of the most beautiful villages in the world according to the prestigious American magazine Travel + Leisure, it meets all the criteria. So much so that since this purchase, the one to whom we owe Dinner or even The Butterfly Effect spends all his vacations there.
And the evenings can drag on! “It goes to music every evening”also said the main person concerned in the show In my suitcase on RTL. Before specifying: “The good news is that I have a house quite far from the city”. And to this great party-goer to confess: “I have a neighbor who is starting to get fed up with me playing the trumpet at 3 a.m. (…) But at that moment I don’t feel like it’s 3 a.m.… And often I’m not the only one playing the trumpet”.
Bénabar, welcoming host: “One year, we had 75 friends who slept…”
Never mind, Bruno Nicolini, his real name, never misses an opportunity to entertain. Moreover, in the show presented by Amandine Bégot, he revealed that he very often organizes large dinners “with lots of friends”a moment that “reassures”. “I like to be surrounded by people”he then confided. No wonder then that “friends are passing by” very often at his house. Much to the chagrin of his neighbor, we suppose…
“One year, we had 75 friends who slept over two months (…) It’s the hotel, it’s always busy”Bénabar even said. Very attached to these moments of sharing, he is always delighted to open his door for his friends: “We realized with Stéphanie (his wife, editor’s note) that there is also a side, which is also very touching, where it is also the place where friends see each other again”.
