For twenty years, Jean-Luc Reichmann has been juggling between Paris, for the needs of his various shoots, and his little haven of peace located in Corsica. A cocoon that he would not abandon for anything in the world and about which he never fails to praise.

It’s no secret: Jean-Luc Reichmann and his wife, Nathalie Lecoultre, fell in love with Corsica twenty years ago. So much so that they bought a house there, located in the Corsican maquis, in Coti-Chiavari, a small village on the south bank of Ajaccio.

Jean-Luc Reichmann “welcomed to Corsica like no other”

So for two decades Jean-Luc Reichmann has divided his time between Versailles, where he lives when he has to film his shows as The 12 strokes of noonand the island of beauty which takes it away from the tumult of Paris. Asked by Corsica Morningthe star host of TF1 let it be known that he felt completely at home there. “Here, everyone knows me, there is mutual respect. I felt welcomed in Corsica like no other. I like this colorful side, of course of the landscapes and but also of the inhabitants”he admitted.

At the same time, the man who also plays Léo Matteï in the series of the same name recounted his crush on the island: “We cannot remain indifferent to Corsica. We love it or we leave it (…) Corsica has taken me under its arm for more than 20 years now that I have lived here and I feel good here (…) My refuge is there. Because here I feel safe. But for me, Corsica is also poetic and sincere messages.” And he is not the only personality to have a foot in Corsica: Jacques and Thomas Dutronc, Mireille Dumas and Christine Bravo also live there.

Jean-Luc Reichmann: patriarch of a large family

The popular host of TF1, who will host The 12 shots of Christmas on December 24, is the father of six children: Léo, Lou and Lola, born from a previous relationship and Swann, Rosalie and Hugo born from his current marriage with his wife Natalie Lecoultre. A large family who can also enjoy the sweets of their Corsican home, especially in summer. “We devote five weeks to the family. Last year, there were twenty-one of us. It’s pretty solid“, he confided in Pocket TV.

Questioned by the TV magazine, Jean-Luc Reichmann took the opportunity to talk about his clan, which he meets for the Christmas holidays. “My children have always been at the center of my existence. Today, they are between 17 and 34 years old. The holidays are coming. We’re all together for eight days. My daughter was born on December 25, so we celebrate Christmas and her birthday.“
