More than four months after his elimination from “12 coups de midi”, the greatest of champions, Émilien, is now taking advantage of his freedom. He shares juicy anecdotes in videos on TikTok, and he doesn’t mince his words!
Since its elimination of 12 strokes of noon, the cult show hosted by Jean-Luc Reichmann on TF1, young Emilien has embarked on a new adventure. Indeed, the 22-year-old Vendéen shares, “freewheeling“, his passion for video games on the Twitch streaming platform. He also tells anecdotes without filter.
Émilien at the end of his nerves: “He didn’t give a damn”
During a broadcast on his Twitch channel, the young Emilien amused his subscribers by returning to a childhood anecdote, experienced during a guided tour. For someone who has an extraordinary general culture and knows History very well, he could not stand when the cultural mediator then stated that “The 100 Years’ War lasted 100 years, from 1337 to 1437“.
Only 9 years old at the time of the events, Émilien already demonstrated an astonishing mastery of History, to the point of knowing by heart the dates of the Hundred Years’ War, which occurred between 1337 and… 1453! “I went to see him at the end of the thing, I was very little, I must have been 9 years old“, he said. The guide then replied to him about the incorrect dates: “Yes, but it’s simpler for people…“
This response left an impression on Émilien. “Almost 15 years later, I remember it. I haven’t forgotten” he blurted. Then, a little angry, he added: “This guy didn’t give a damn about destroying history“. Faithful to his rigor and his love of knowledge, he concluded: “Popularize, yes. It’s not hard to popularize by saying the facts. But let’s popularize correctly rather than saying anything.”
Émilien postpones this project until next year: “I gave myself a year”
Since the end of his television adventure following his elimination from 12 shots of noonÉmilien continued interviews, notably with Samuel Étienne. The one who won the record sum of 2,566,931 euros spoke about his future plans. While he initially intended to become a history teacher, the young champion announced a change of direction.
“It’s worth seeing. I took a year off because I knew I had some traveling to do. And then the stream (on his Twitch channel, editor’s note) made me want it, I wanted to try it. I gave myself a year to see if I liked it. So we’ll see how it goes and we’ll see for next year.“, he explained.
