The media 60 Millions de Consommateurs tested several food supplements promising beautiful skin. One reference in particular stood out from the crowd.
The food supplement market has been booming in recent years. For joint health, having beautiful skin, fighting against wrinkles, to detoxify the body, better digestion… The possibilities are almost endless. In its March issue, the media 60 Millions de Consommateurs therefore looked into this dense and sometimes difficult to understand market, in order to carry out a test bench of the products sold in pharmacies but also in supermarkets. The magazine carried out a test dedicated to products dedicated to the epidermis. To analyze the references, several criteria were taken into account. “We researched in the laboratory the contaminants most often found in this type of product (heavy metals, mycotoxins, pesticides), linked to the types of active ingredients present (agricultural and seafood products).“, writes the media on its website.
But that’s not all, the media also checked the composition indicated on the labels and the conformity of each product. To do this, he examined the lists of the Directorate General for Food (DGAL) and the Compl’Alim website in order to check the warnings, the maximum authorized doses and the validity of the health promises compared to European standards. After all these analyses, one reference stood out with the very good score of 18.8/20: the Complexe 4 + skin beauty supplements from the Flora Natura brand. The product comes in the form of ampoules, and costs around €10.89. It does not present traces of pesticide, heavy metals, mycotoxins and the composition seems to be validated by the media’s experts. Indeed, there are many organic plants such as aloe vera, dandelion, nettle, wild pansy and primrose. This synergy helps maintain healthy skin, limit imperfections, protect the epidermis against free radicals and relieves dry skin. In short, very complete benefits.
Please note, however, that 60 Million Consumers has not tested the effectiveness of the products since it does not appear in the rating criteria. Moreover, in its article, the magazine clarifies a rather surprising point: “The status of a food supplement does not require demonstration of effectiveness in order to be placed on the market.“This does not mean, however, that everything is allowed: as mentioned above, the authorized health claims are set by European regulations. It is therefore up to you to test the Flora Natura Complex 4 + to form your own opinion.
