Guest of Camille Combal on NRJ, Kad Merad played a game during which he made a surprising revelation behind the scenes of the filming of the cult film, “Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis”.
While we can find Kad Merad in the film A Family of Bastardsnow available on Amazon Prime Video, the popular actor appeared on NRJ. He was a guest of host Camille Combal. He participated in the sequence “2 truths, 1 myth”. Among its truths, an anecdote linked to Welcome to the Ch’tis was surprising…
Kad Merad wants to play without accessories and it turns out badly for him…
On the NRJ set, Kad Merad therefore evoked a memory of filming the film directed by Dany Boon, released in cinemas in 2008.You know, there’s a scene, it’s when Dany Boon and I go to piss by the canal… Initially, they installed a pump for me. Except that they saw me doing it like that with my arm. So I said to Dany, as there was a little food truck with beers, ‘listen, the only way to pee right now is to drink beer.’ We drank five beers but like that!“, he first said.
And the 62-year-old actor, who played in the film the character of Philippe Abrams, postmaster transferred to the North, continued: “And at that moment, the piss came. The problem is that the scene is supposed to end, but it keeps pissing on me. And I keep peeing in my pants… And that’s why, if you look closely at the scene, we have a fit of laughter linked to the fact that I say to Dany, ‘I’ll stop, I can’t, I’m soaked.’ At the time, I didn’t have diapers like today.”
Kad Merad mistaken for someone else because of his role in a film
During the show, Julia Vignali’s husband also told a second truth, always linked to a film. “The second anecdote, I was on the train, I was filming L’Italien at the time (directed by Olivier Baroux and released in cinemas in 2010, editor’s note). I’m completely shaved, there’s a guy who approaches me, he starts talking to me about economics. And in fact he confused me with François Lenglet, the eco guy at TF1“, he remembered.
And Kad Merad, star of the Grand Frais ad, adds: “And I didn’t dare tell him it wasn’t me. I made up anything, he said ‘thank you Mr. Lenglet,’ and he left.‘”
