Laurens, third biggest champion of the show “N’ez pas les mots”, has lifted the veil on what he did with the jackpot he won!
He keeps his money warm! Two years ago, Laurens left the set of Don’t forget the lyrics with a nice prize pool of 457,000 euros. The France 2 candidate spoke for Toulouse News to reveal what he does with this money.
Did Laurens squander his jackpot? “I haven’t changed…”
At 25, Laurens has become a leading face of the game show hosted by Nagui. Two years after his first victory on the plateau of Don’t forget the lyricsthe former great maestro confided to the local Toulouse site that his life had not changed greatly. “I am still in Toulouse. But life hasn’t changed that much. I’m in the same apartment. I didn’t change cars. I didn’t make any big purchases“, he revealed.
If the young Toulouse native did not splurge with the money accumulated over his 58 victories on the France 2 singing show, he still admitted to treating himself to some enriching experiences. “I take advantage of my rest time to travel, see friends everywhere“, he admitted.
Laurens puts aside his professional ambition: “In the meantime, maybe I’ll…”
Laurens chose to put his university career on hold to take a step back and think about what comes next. A choice that he fully accepts, as he himself explained: “I very recently stopped my doctorate (in mathematics, editor’s note)”. However, he does not plan to abandon his professional project. “Professionally, I will stay in math. My goal is to be a teacher, either in middle school or high school. I’m going to prepare for a competition. In the meantime, maybe I’ll give private lessons“.
While waiting to resume his studies as a mathematician, Laurens revealed that he gave his time to help participants from Don’t forget the lyrics. “I’m in a review group that I was in before I even went on the show. When asked, I share my experience. If I can give advice that may be useful, I do not hesitate“, he admitted.
