Never short of good ideas, the designer and interior decorator today offers a new look for a new life to one of the most ugly objects in the living room. It’s finally a collector’s item, thank you Sarah Lavoine!
It’s a little game of hide and seek in which we took part, often in spite of ourselves. In the living room, we redouble our ingenuity to hide this unsightly thing, which stands out among our beautiful books, our favorite trinkets and our scented candles. We try to slip it behind a flower pot, lock it in a piece of furniture or hide it under a pile of magazines. In short, this intruder is an interior design fan’s nightmare.
But rejoice: this era of visual clandestinity is coming to an end. Sarah Poniatowski, the designer behind Maison Sarah Lavoine, decided to tackle this major challenge. Known for her innate sense of color and her art of structuring spaces with character, she intrudes where we didn’t necessarily expect her: at the heart of our digital home.
The idea? Sublimate the ordinary. “Making beauty accessible, even in the most functional uses”insists the designer. For her, a technical object should not be a blemish in an interior, but rather a decorative piece in its own right. She therefore took up the graphic codes that make her House so successful – subtle geometric patterns, play of contrasts between matte and gloss – to transform this essential accessory into a true object of desire.
This little design gem that you will no longer need to hide is the new Bbox WiFi 7, designed in collaboration with Bouygues Telecom, in a special edition. To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the operator is giving itself a design makeover and that’s so much the better! Beneath its elegant appearance, designed by Maison Sarah Lavoine, it hides cutting-edge technology offering optimal performance and coverage. It is the perfect meeting between technological excellence and the French art of living. The block of black plastic bristling with cables is far away!
Available from May 26, 2026 with the Bbox Ultym offer, this little beauty proves that an ordinary object can also become aesthetic. Prepare to give it pride of place on your Scandinavian sideboard or your favorite shelf: this time, we promise, you will only want to show it off!
