He welcomed journalists from around the world during the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games. The keys to the media village, located in Dugny (Seine-Saint-Denis), were handed over on October 30 by the Paris 2024 organizing committee to Sogeprom, the real estate development subsidiary of Société Générale. The former place where journalists lived during the Olympic Games is now beginning its transformation with a phase of work which will last until March 15, 2025. The aim being to rehabilitate the buildings of the former media village in order to transform them in new housing, which will be delivered in the first quarter of 2025. “It is a truly new neighborhood that will emerge, including numerous green spaces, public facilities, a school group, a crèche and shops.», explains Loïc Madeline, Ile-de-France deputy general manager of Sogeprom.
In total, no fewer than 150 new homes, from studios to 5 rooms, have already been sold to individuals by Sogeprom. The apartments offer unobstructed views of the green spaces and in particular of the Georges Valbon park. Outdoor spaces, buildings and accommodation guarantee accessibility for people with reduced mobility. And if you are interested in purchasing an apartment located in the former media village, don’t delay. In fact, there are only around thirty properties left for sale.
“These are mainly first-time buyers who position themselves on these apartments to acquire a main residence, since the neighborhood is eligible for the zero-rate loan», continues Loïc Madeline. The project also includes family housing divided between home ownership housing, free and intermediate rental housing, as well as social housing.
302,000 euros for a 4-room apartment
In terms of prices, count on between 3,600 euros and 4,400 euros per square meter on average to live in this new district, connected to the future line 15 of the Grand Paris Express metro. For example, a four-room apartment with balcony located in the former media village is being marketed at 302,000 euros by Sogeprom, or 3,200 euros per square meter. For the moment, buyers mainly come from towns located near Dugny, namely La Courneuve, Le Bourget, Le Blanc-Mesnil, Aulnay, Stains.

“The district is landscaped and sustainable with 40% of spaces planted in open ground, green roofs and gardens for biodiversity. The fact that the neighborhood participated in the success of the Olympic Games is an additional argument which convinced certain buyers,” rejoices Loïc Madeleine.
Note that the transformation of this new district is far from complete since Sogeprom has launched a second phase of construction of new housing. The building permit has been submitted and work will begin in 2025. In total, no less than 600 new apartments, of all sizes, will be built near the former site of the media village. These new homes will be marketed in the coming months.
