The results of the BTS 2026 tests are in. Depending on their average, some candidates will be able to take the remedial oral exams.
The BTS (higher technician certificate) is a professional diploma who prepares through continuous assessment during training (CCF) and through exams. The BTS also includes a compulsory internship in a company and allows you to obtain a professional diploma in two years. Also, after the common BTS tests which took place from May 18 to 21, the results are starting to fall.
What are the dates for the BTS results?
As of June 22, 2026, the results of the BTS tests are published progressively by academy and by specialty throughout the national territory. Candidates can now consult their admission status free of charge via the government’s official results distribution platform or directly from their secure Cyclades personal space, where their detailed transcripts are gradually made available. Please note that some academies will not have the same dates for the results of these exams.
How do the BTS catch-up sessions go?
All candidates having obtained at least 10 out of 20 in the professional field as well as an average of between 8 and 10 in the general field are automatically authorized to take the make-up tests, with two oral tests:
- a question to reassess the candidate’s skills in general culture and expression, modern foreign language, mathematics, physics-chemistry, applied sciences, etc. The student will have to choose the discipline in which he wishes to be interviewed among the disciplines with the highest coefficient of his specialty.
- a question allowing you to reassess skills of the candidate in the professional field.
For each question, the score obtained may replace the average of the tests of all the specific tests in the corresponding field (general and professional).
When do the BTS catch-up orals take place?
The BTS catch-up orals will generally take place at the beginning of July 2026 (mainly between July 1 and 10, 2026), in the days immediately following the publication of the results of the first group of each specialty. The exact schedule depends entirely on your academy and your BTS specialty. For example, the control tests for the Lyon academy are set for July 7, 2026.
