Every year, this parade attracts thousands of Londoners and tourists, delighted to witness this flamboyant military ballet and, above all, to see the country’s crowned heads pass by! Along the Mall, the road leading to Buckingham Palace, you can then see the horse-drawn carriages transporting members of the royal family. “Kate Middleton looks angry and the children totally uncomfortable and surprised, receiving boos during the parade. If a look could kill… Princess Kate didn’t like it at all“, underlined a fan of the royal family, who revealed a video clip of this moment which went viral on Twitter.
Anti-monarchy activists infiltrated into the crowd
The British newspaper Tea Mirror reveals that in the crowd there were members of a collective called Republic, who chanted anti-monarchy slogans like “Not My King” (Not my king) and opened umbrellas on which we could read a play on words with rain “Stop The Reign” (Stop the reign).
The Princess of Wales, who was riding down the avenue in a carriage, did not escape these boos, just like her husband Prince William who, for his part, was on horseback alongside Princess Anne and Prince Edward. On the other hand, Prince Andrew did not take part in the event, he who has become the outcast of the royal family…
Fortunately, this brief incident did not prevent the clan of Charles III from having a very successful 2026 edition of Trooping the Colorgoing so far as to share a slew of photos on the official The Royal Family Instagram account.behind the scenes” with broad smiles on their lips.
