On Vinted, there are thousands of summer dresses. A fashion expert has shared the four brands she systematically uses to find beautiful pieces. And it can clearly save time.
In summer, we all have the same idea in mind: finding a little dress that we put on in the morning without asking any questions and in which we feel really good. Except that between the models that don’t look like the photos, the cuts that don’t highlight anyone and the prices that climb quickly in stores, the search can last a good while. This is also why Vinted has become a reflex for many French people. You still have to know where to look. Because simply typing “summer dress” into the search bar is a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack… in the middle of August.
On Instagram, Caroline, known as caro_sbd, regularly shares her fashion tips. In a recently posted video, she explains that she prefers to search for certain brands directly rather than spending hours scrolling through ads. According to her, it’s the quickest way to find dresses with pretty cuts, pleasant fabrics and models that don’t give the impression of having already had ten summers. And when you know the right names, you can also more easily spot a good deal before it disappears.
The four brands Caroline advises to look for are Boden, Beyond Nine, Stella Nova and Modetrotter. About Boden, she explains: “Boden have ultra-feminine cuts, sometimes there is a pattern, sometimes they are a little more neutral shades, in short there is a little bit for everyone, and you can find quite a few on Vinted.” She also recommends Beyond Nine: “That’s a brand that I love. It’s a brand that, basically, is made for pregnancy, Beyond Nine, after 9, it’s a brand that follows women, from pregnancy to after pregnancy, and that you can keep in your wardrobe, so the idea is still really good.”
She then cites Stella Nova, a Danish brand recognizable by its large collars, its colors, its prints and its loose cuts which do not necessarily appeal to everyone. Finally, she recommends Modetrotter, specifying: “The patterns they choose, the collections they have released, frankly there are some beautiful pieces on Modetrotter so I really advise you to look there.”
This way of doing things also has another advantage: it avoids disappointing purchases. By targeting brands that have already proven themselves, you increase the chances of receiving a well-cut and pleasant to wear piece. In addition, some are quite expensive new. Finding them on Vinted for a few dozen euros is still nicer for the wallet. Just keep an eye on the new listings for a few days to see some really nice pieces come and go.
