It protects against toxic aggressions of liver cells.
A healthy liver is the key to feeling in shape, light and protected by aggressions (toxic, alcohol, fat …). Digestion problems, an abdomen gravity or persistence fatigue often reflect an overloaded or bad health. Fortunately, certain foods are purifying and capable of cleaning the liver.
“”These are for example Green vegetables (broccoli, spinach, chard, cabbage …) which are rich in chlorophyll, an antioxidant substance known to eliminate toxins and heavy metals at the level of the liver“, Immediately indicates to us Anne Guillot, dietician -nutritionist. Garlic and onion contain sulfur which also promotes the elimination of toxins. Artichoke, black radish and dandelion – the featiousness plants – stimulate bile production, which helps to digest fat and purify the liver. Interesting to reduce inflammation and support liver detoxification.
But one of the best hepatoprotective vegetables is asparagus. South Korean researchers from the Institute of Medical Science and the University of Jeju observed the effects of its components on the human liver: “”Our results demonstrate that asparagus, thanks to its high content of amino, antioxidant and mineral acids, can reduce up to 70% of toxins accumulated in a liver and therefore protects against toxic aggressions of liver cells“, they indicate in their study published in the Journal of Food Science.
Good news, spring is the full season of asparagus. There are market stalls between April and June. This leaves little time to enjoy their benefits, so you shouldn’t deprive themselves of it at the start of spring. The researchers believe that a portion of 80 g – 100 g of green or white asparagus (the tips are better because it is more concentrated in minerals) per day is ideal for enjoying their detox effects.
