Welcome to Levallois-Perret, where today we are opening the doors to an apartment that brilliantly combines the codes of yesteryear and contemporary elegance. Initially, the pond seemed abandoned, but after Ouest Home visited, everything changed.
Here, the owners’ ambition was clear. It was a question of restoring its letters of nobility to this 60 m², while infusing a certain minimalism into the project. A subtle balance between respect for the old and the love of clean lines. When they contacted the Ouest Home agency, the challenge was twofold: design a turnkey living space and masterfully orchestrate the work to enable particularly rapid development. The brief? Transform this aging property into a modern, sober and warm home, capable of standing the test of time without aging.
In addition to an overall renovation, the real stroke of genius lies in the restructuring of the space. To perfectly fit the lifestyle of the occupants, it was necessary to rethink the original plan. It was necessary to subtly reduce the surface area of the living room to create a real parental suite, intimate and functional. A precise decision which proves that we can optimize space without ever sacrificing the feeling of volume.
As for the bathroom, it was rudimentary, blind, corridor-like and limited to the bare minimum: a sink, a bathtub and full-length white tiles. A clinical and soulless configuration that called for a radical transformation to become more comfortable.
The new bathroom is logically located in place of the old one. The advantage? Water inlets already there, enough to optimize the work budget. In terms of layout, the bathtub gives way to a generous walk-in shower (on a tiled tray) and a vanity unit, much more suited to everyday life.
Finally, to wake up this blind room, a bold blue earthenware wall (Equipe Cerámicas at Arte Casa Carrelage) covers the back wall up to the ceiling, bringing depth and a real boost to this bathroom which finally looks like something.
