Historically, the Lalique house is above all one of the most prestigious names in French crystal making. However, it is to her that we owe perfume bottles as we know them today. Indeed, before modern perfumery, juices were sold in simple pharmaceutical vials. But in 1907, René Lalique met the perfumer François Coty and suggested the idea of industrially producing pretty, artistic containers specific to each fragrance. It is therefore not surprising that, from now on, Lalique is reconnecting with the art of smells. In 2024, the brand presented Soleil Lunar, the third opus of the Soleil collection. The fragrance is feminine, captivating and above all completely new both in its appearance and in its character.
To imagine Soleil Lunar, Lalique called on the nose Nathalie Lorson (to whom we notably owe Black Opium by YSL) and Alexandra Monet. The juice opens with a burst of tangerine and pink pepper. Then come the heart notes: magnolia and jasmine, enhanced by vanilla and spices. Finally, all these little people give way to accords of amber and musk. The result is sensual, slightly powdery, but above all daring and original. A feminine and solar essence at the same time.
For its part, the bottle pays homage to the last light of the day, adorning itself with a gradient ranging from gold to dark purple. The icing on the cake? The pretty pendant representing a crescent moon surrounding a sun, hung around the cap, which transforms into a luxurious necklace if desired.
