Over the years, the Enfoirés troupe has welcomed hundreds of personalities. If some are pillars of the show given for the benefit of Restos du Coeur, like Patrick Bruel or Zazie, others only made a brief appearance, sometimes for a single song or a single sketch… A singer, whose career in France began in the 1960s and to whom we owe several big hits, also made only one appearance… almost 30 years ago!
The 2026 edition of the Enfoirés show, recorded from the stage of the Accor Arena in Paris and broadcast on February 27 at 9:10 p.m. on TF1, “has never welcomed so many personalities, around fifty having attended this year“, reports the channel. Most of the artists do not hesitate to join the famous troupe imagined by the late Coluche. It must be said that the gesture is noble since a CD or DVD of the recording purchased thus makes it possible to finance 17 meals for the beneficiaries of the Restos du coeur. But, on stage, certain artists only made a passing appearance like this singer. “You only took part in Les Enfoirés once, it was in 1997…” recalled Eric Dussart to his guest, on RTL airwaves.
But who is this artist in question, who last came almost 30 years ago? We owe him the songs Vanina And Near Swann… You will have recognized the singer Dave. The artist, now 81 years old, did not hide a slight hint of bitterness and, with his legendary frankness, he reacted to this information.
“I wasn’t asked. I think it’s generational. Which I understand but it’s not the same family. I’m not bringing anything in there. They take the last one who won the Star Ac or things like that, and not a singer who is four times 20 years old“, he said. This year, it’s true that we will find among the newcomers the singers Marine and Helena, both of whom passed through the Château de la Star Academyon TF1.
But Dave can rest assured, he is not the only one to have only participated in Les Enfoirés once. This is also the case of Anggun, Faudel or even Arielle Dombasle, Camélia Jordana… The singer, who continues the galas and singing tours, does not however close the door to a return to the troupe if it is offered to him. “It’s not paid but I could do it. It’s still very useful“, he admitted.
