The Duchess of Edinburgh honored a two-day trip to Africa, notably to meet Kenyan women a few days before International Women’s Rights Day, celebrated on March 8. If she started her day in a designer dress Suzanne and pumps Jimmy Choothe 61-year-old star changed her outfit for the evening. The key piece of her look was undoubtedly her mid-length dress with a beautiful floral print, created by Beulah London. She had succumbed to the “Sienna” model made from 100% silk crepe de chine. We particularly noticed the short elasticated puff sleeves and the fitted waist which brought a lot of style to the whole. With its navy blue color, this dress with its many patterns remained elegant as can be.
Regarding her accessories, Sophie d’Edimbourg mixed simple pieces and more prestigious pieces. For her jewelry, she fell for a bracelet from the brand Aspreyin 18-carat gold and white diamonds, and for the bronze “Africa” ring from Julia Barela displaying a unique irregular design. Finally, for her shoes, the wife of Prince Edward of the United Kingdom opted for a pair that she brings out every year and which pleases many royal personalities. These were espadrilles Penelope Chilversknown for its timeless creations.
This model called “Mary Jane” is made in white leather with a wedge heel made using traditional methods, creating authentic shoes. This style of shoes, which has its origins in the Basque Country, has won over the Duchess of Edinburgh but also Kate Middleton and Letizia of Spain.
