She is one of the “nuggets” as Fabienne likes to say so well. In front of the M6 Capital cameras, Fabienne Poilbout, store director E.Leclerc from Bergerac in Dorgogne, reveals the items that sell best in the hypermarket she manages. Among them, a seemingly innocuous piece, yet presented as a “best-seller, to buy in volume” by the brand’s strategies. Available at the price of 19.95 euros, it sold like hotcakes throughout France. As a result, it is once again available for Fall-Winter 2026… And Fabienne intends to add it to her shopping cart to offer it to her seasoned customers.
Indeed, this textile treasure had already brought in big profits last season. She confides: “Typically this product, which is identified as a bestseller, it interests me a lot because in my store, I already had it for the Fall-Winter 2025 season and it worked really well. I sold everything in one week. I had sold 36. So clearly, I am going to order 72.”
A sleeveless vest, a chic basic which, at first glance, doesn’t look much, but which has won the hearts of the brand’s consumers. Because yes, at Tissaia of E.Leclercit is above all the practical side of the clothes that appeals. The retail giant explains that what sells best in its textile department are the basics. “It’s what we sell the most”says the director of Bergerac, while showing a V-neck tank top that the stylists Tissaia enhanced with lace edging.
“Typically, it is one of our best-sellers, in black and white colors. These are everyday products”she continues. On average, it estimates that they represent nearly 55% of the volume of sales made to its customers. Whether it’s the sleeveless vest or the tank top, they have one common argument: their low price. The sleeveless jacket is available at the price of 19.95 euros, while the tank top can be purchased for the modest sum of 5.95 euros.
An observation confirmed by a loyal consumer. Questioned by journalists, Chantal, 71, confided: “I buy often anyway, eh. The prices are reasonable and I think it’s very good quality.” Facing the camera, she will succumb, once again, to the irresistible calls of Tissaia and will leave with a complete set for 45 euros under his arm.
