It was a preview that the Journal des Femmes was able to discover the major trends in Christmas toys at the Jouérama show this June 3. We reveal to you all the new 2026 products that will be found under the tree.
Talking about Christmas toys before the summer holidays is a little early, of course. But it is in June, during the Jouérama trade fair organized by King Cadeau, that suppliers unveil their major new products. It is also at this precise moment that buyers place their bets on the trends and toys that could be a hit at Christmas. So, what are the kids going to order from Santa this year? The editorial staff of Journal des Femmes went to meet professionals in the sector to reveal to you, well before the end of year catalogs, the Christmas toys that will undoubtedly be found under the trees. It is also an opportunity to anticipate stock shortages or to spread purchases over several months since certain models will be on sale from the summer.
The KPop Demon Hunters license
It is undoubtedly THE license that will surpass all others this year. Almost all brands are investing in this successful license which has become a real phenomenon among children, teenagers and young adults, but also fans of K-pop and Cosplay culture as well as collectors. In total, 130 new Kpop Demon Hunters products from 15 different brands will be on sale in stores. Figurines, playsets, soft toys, dolls, puzzles or interactive games featuring Rumi, Mira and Zoey will delight fans. Among the other highly anticipated licenses, we will find Pokémon, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Toy Story toys in the cinema on June 19, or even Frozen, the third part of which is released on November 24 in the cinema.
Toys and AI
Another big trend: toys incorporating artificial intelligence. We were able to discover Elo Yeno from Lexibook, a soft toy that discusses all subjects with children (always appropriate for children aged 5 and up). It comes with well-defined parental controls and allows parents to find their entire discussion history on an app. An intrusion into their privacy, or a way to help them if they are not well…? Elo Yeno could be divisive, but his face and his expressions will make more than one person fall for it! For his part, Vtech is offering Kitty Life this yeara mini games console allowing children to put themselves in the shoes of a cat, or even Elo-Globe, the essential educational globeboth intelligent and interactive which brings geography, history and culture to life: you place a stylus on a country or a city, and you discover it via a color LCD screen.

Collectible toys continue to develop with theHappy Shopping“, favorite purchases at low prices, including surprises. There are miniature figurines, Blisters, and small pots with accessories, key rings, mini creative kits or miniature soft toys, like at Khadou France which offers adorable decorative companions (including some rare models), much cuter than the Labubu! This year, don’t also miss the adorable Peekimo figurinesan interactive companion that must be taken care of and which sticks out its head, to wear around the neck (everyone will adopt it according to toy professionals).

The slime is renewed and customized
No more simple sticky paste, now, slime takes its place in the world of creative and sensory leisure activities. A phenomenon that will please all children this Christmas 202, in particular thanks to a unique and original experience. The Zuru brand offers a range Slime Mart with “food” modelsMoose bets on thebeauty universe with the scents of the Gui-Gui range and its adorable pots to decorate. Without forgetting the brand Canal Toys which offers its Slime Lab, creative kits to decorate with delicious smells, as well as a slime bar in certain stores.

The great success of collectible cards
More than ever, collectible cards will be among the most requested games by children and the most sold at the end of the year. Whether collectible cards or strategic cards (to participate in competitive games), many licenses other than Pokemon are appearing such as One Piece, Star Wars unlimited, Dragon Ball super Card Game, Yu-Gi-Ho, Disney Lorcana, Naruto, My Little Pony, but also Epoch and Panini… Exclusive cards, boosters and limited series boxes are yours. And that’s not all: this year, Mattel is launching its cards with Formula 1 players while Hasbro is offering Monopoly Fifa with collectible cards to surf the 2026 World Cup.
Finally, Kidultes toys continue to sell like hot cakes to older children. Lego and other construction games as decoration, “book nooks” (these decorative mini-scenes to build and then install in your library), Star Wars toys, creative games or board games have no age limit and target all generations. This year, there will be choices for Christmas for young and old alike!
