While the job market is still in crisis, this profession stands out among those in demand in 2026. And more women are often recruited there.
White-collar professions are still under very strong pressure on the job market in France. Certain areas of activity are completely blocked, whether in marketing, journalism or even communication… And with the rapid development of AI, many companies are no longer recruiting when they are not outright implementing economic layoffs, voluntary departure plans (PDV) and/or job protection plans (PSE). But in this slump, some professions are on the other hand growing for 2026 and will even pay well.
Indeed, this is what emerges from a major study carried out by the platform LinkedIn with the help of its researchersEconomic Graphwhich established a ranking of the 25 growing professions for 2026. “To be included in this ranking, job titles must have shown consistent growth among our members and represent a significant number of job openings over the past year. Identical job titles, but corresponding to different experience levels, were grouped together. Internships, volunteering and temporary positions have been excluded from the ranking, as have positions for which recruitment only concerns a small number of companies in France.“, specifies the methodology of the study.
In this ranking, one profession stands out. A reliable job, which has existed for a long time and which even Artificial Intelligence cannot completely replace: that of HR manager. It ranks 9th and is particularly interesting because it is one of the rare professions where female candidates are more likely to land a position than their male counterparts. The gender distribution is obvious with 84% women and only 16% men.
Being an HR manager means managing various tasks ranging from recruitment to supporting an employee in their professional development through the management of an organization’s internal policies. A job that can be done with at least 3 years of experience in positions such as recruiter, HR assistant or even payroll manager. Furthermore, the study carried out by the platform also highlights another significant advantage linked to this profession, we generally find a teleworking rate proposed by job offers around 59%. An advantage that counts at a time when French companies are still having the greatest difficulty adopting this new way of organizing their work and are sometimes backtracking on the subject…
