Adored by all generations, this fashion brand already has 2,931 stores around the world. The next two years will see further expansion.
The fashion world has been struggling for several years. Triggered by Covid-19, the rise of ultra fast fashion, and an increasingly depressed economic context, pushing households to reduce their clothing consumption, the ready-to-wear crisis is sinking even the most popular brands, established over many decades and having won over several generations – from X to Gen Z. In France, the industry has already lost key names in the French fashion imagination, like Kaporal, Minelli, NAF NAF or even San Marina. If no label seems spared by these widespread closures, certain elected officials nevertheless escape the disastrous fate which affects all their ready-to-wear colleagues.
It is in particular the brands dubbed by royalty that seem to benefit from this fashion immunity. Among them, a label adored by Queen Letizia of Spain since her first years of sovereignty. Unwavering despite the latest rumors targeting it, this Iberian brand is renowned for its chic, timeless pieces, sold at a relatively affordable price for a mid-range aesthetic. Great rival of Zarait was created in 1984 by the two brothers Isak and Nahman Andic. You will have understood it, it is therefore Mango which will open new stores throughout France.
As reported by our colleagues from LSAthe Spanish brand will invest nearly 66 million euros in France in order to create 45 new points of sale, by 2028. This should lead to the creation of nearly 700 jobs in the country. A major project which will progress slowly, without rushing: in fact, these openings will take place at a rate of 15 stores per year. The opportunity for Mango to reach 10 new cities that it had previously ignored.
A plan applied in France, but which is in reality part of a global strategy of international expansion. In this sense, in 2025, the Spanish giant had already invested nearly 225 million euros worldwide. A large part of these investments was obviously used to open 260 points of sale in numerous countries. Today, Mango has nearly 2931 stores… and counting. To be continued.
