Recently, France Travail has modified some of its parameters, and this concerns all people looking for work.
If you are a job seeker, you know better than anyone that it is important to be aware of the changes that occur on the France Travail platform. Without this vigilance, you could miss important information having an impact on your situation and your rights with the employment agency. Recently, France Travail launched a vast project to strengthen the security of its services and simplify procedures for job seekers.
For this, since November 4, the former Pôle emploi has decided to replace the identification and connection codes of all its beneficiaries with a unique identifier, composed of 11 digits. What therefore changes for registered people is that they now have a single identifier to connect to the various France Travail services and applications, and this is permanent, that is to say that even if a person moves, the number will remain theirs for as long as they need it.
Concretely, with this identifier, job seekers can also identify themselves in a few clicks when calling 3949 (telephone service for anyone who wishes to register or re-register), communicate with their advisor, personalize their searches , report their arrival at an agency appointment, and above all update their situation regularly. This number also allows you to use the terminals, scanners and computers available in the agency.
In principle, the new identifier is sent gradually region by region. The organization started with New Aquitaine, Burgundy-Franche-Comté, Centre-Val de Loire, Normandy, Occitanie and Pays de la Loire. From December 1 to December 9, the other regions will follow, namely Grand Est, Hauts-de-France, Île-de-France, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Brittany, Corsica, Provence-Alpes -Côte d’Azur, and the DROM-COM. The people concerned have received or will receive their new France Travail identifier by e-mail or SMS. If this is still not the case, remember to check your spam in your mailbox.
Furthermore, to facilitate the transition, job seekers who already have identifiers can continue to use them until March 2025, while they get used to their new number. Anyway, even if this changes certain habits, on paper, it’s a good thing, especially for people who tend to lose their identifiers easily, there, you will just have to remember one!
