Calvin Klein hits hard by relaunching this line of iconic perfumes, after more than a decade of absence. Nostalgia guaranteed.
As the expression goes: the best jams are made in old pots. And Calvin Klein is not unaware of this. After twelve years of absence from this line of perfumes, the brand is back in style. Between the brand and the world of scents, it is after all a true love story that has lasted since 1985. At that time, Calvin Klein launched Obsession, a poisonous, seductive and provocative fragrance. In 1995, the brand completely shook up the codes with CK One, which became the first completely mixed juice in the history of modern perfumery. Another breakthrough in 2005 with Euphoria. The scent is beautiful, disturbing, sensual, and composed by three of the greatest perfumers of our time: Loc Dong, Carlos Benaim and Dominique Ropion. A true return to his first loves. Over the years, the range will have several variations, including the latest: Endless Euphoria, released in 2014.
Now let’s return to the present (or almost), where Calvin Klein has hit hard again. In February, after 12 years of absence, the range was reborn from its ashes with Euphoria Elixirs. This new collection includes three different olfactory creations, concentrated at 28% perfume, the highest in the history of the brand. If the collection explores vanilla, it does not forget the orchid, Euphoria’s signature flower, which has greatly contributed to its success. The first fragrance, Magnetic Elixir, mixes this famous orchid with ambrette absolute and musky vanilla. The result is vibrant and sensual. Bold Elixir is more woody thanks to the presence of notes of oak, smoked orchid and jasmine. The key? A sunny and warm scent at the same time. Finally, Solar Elixir truly represents summer in a bottle: we obviously find vanilla and orchid but also mango. It gives the sensation of feeling skin warmed by the sun.
For their part, the bottles of this new era remain the same: these sculptural half-moons with the imposing rectangular cap. Real objects of art. The only difference? They are adorned with bright colors. Pink, purple and yellow to match the story that each perfume tells. To represent the range, Calvin Klein chose the Spanish singer Rosalia as its muse. An assumed desire to revalorize a pillar of the brand, while speaking to generation Z.
One thing is certain: more than twenty years after the release of the first part of Euphoria, Calvin Klein has never combined modernity and history so well.
