«I can’t describe how bright my life is. Today I discovered a new emotion and it is the most powerful I have ever felt». Uncontainable happiness emanates directly from the social networks of Francesco Bagnaia and his wife Domizia Castagnini. Together with the first very tender photo of their child, an equally sweet post shared by the rider appears, and the words used by the two-wheeled champion make us reflect.

The post on Bagnaia’s official page on Instagram announcing the birth of his son
For someone used to speeding on a motorbike at 250 km per hour and having adrenaline pumping, it is touching that the birth of his son causes an even stronger emotion. Indeed, fatherhood – especially the first – can change a man profoundly, to the point of dividing his experience into two parts: before being a father and after becoming one. Two distinct lives that come together at the moment of the birth of their son. Nothing will be the same as before. And if it applies to someone accustomed to the strong emotions of racing speed, it must be admitted that it applies to all new fathers.
At the same time, however, our thoughts turn towards those who have chased this dream but have seen it shattered (hopefully, for the moment). Cody Gakpo, forward for Liverpool and the Dutch national team, currently involved in the World Cuphe hoped to become a father during the American event. Unfortunately, his partner Noa van der Bij, who was pregnant, lost her baby during pregnancy. «With a broken heart», wrote Gakpo and his partner on Instagram, «we inform you that our little one passed away during pregnancy. Thank you all for your support. Loved forever. Our son forever.”

A second text also appeared on social media in the name of the footballer’s partner: the chosen image, that of a church. Accompanying it is a moving text: «We went to church together and lit a candle. Afterwards we went to the playground with our son Samuel. There was another boy named Elijah. There could not have been a more beautiful sign from God.” It had the same name the couple had chosen for their lost son.
