From 20 to 29 July 2026, the Andrea Bocelli Foundation (ABF) will host its first ABF Voices of Global Gatheringwith choristers aged between 5 and 18 from Uganda, Jerusalem, Camerino and Naples and a choir teacher from Haiti. (Italy). During their ten-day stay in Italy, the choristers – all residing in contexts of social vulnerability – will experience moments of conviviality, institutional meetings and cultural exchange. Their stay will culminate in three significant moments.

On July 25th they will perform together with Andrea Bocelli at the Teatro del Silenzio, in Lajatico. On July 27th they will perform in front of the Senate in Rome. On July 29, in Borgo Laudato Si, the young choristers will meet Pope Leo XIV in a moment that will be accompanied by a musical performance with Maestro Bocelli entitled Song of Peace.

The Global Gathering comes at a particularly significant time for the foundation, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary. Since 2011, in line with its mission “Empowering people and communities”, ABF has promoted social innovation in communities affected by cultural and socio-economic poverty. His educational approach cultivates transversal skills through the languages of art, music and digital technologies. First successfully piloted in Haiti in 2016, ABF Voices Of is the foundation’s flagship global program, an educational journey inspired by the transformative and generative power of music which promotes the development of talent and strengthens transversal skills in children and young people living in contexts of social vulnerability. Through the creation of youth choirs on four continents, the program promotes creativity, intercultural dialogue, inclusion and positive leadership – the foundations of active, global citizenship. In each location, activities are co-developed with local partners and teams, following the collaborative approach that distinguishes ABF.

WHAT THE ANDREA BOCELLI FOUNDATION DOES

The Andrea Bocelli Foundation (ABF) was founded in July 2011 by the Bocelli family. Through its mission “Empowering people and communities”, ABF creates and promotes projects focused on unlocking and expressing the full potential of individuals and communities facing poverty, illiteracy, disease-related hardship and social exclusion.

ABF has chosen education as the key to promoting paths that offer real opportunities for emancipation in contexts where priorities may be different, firmly believing that caring for an individual means caring for their education. Using innovative approaches and tools that integrate art, music and digital technology into learning programs, ABF works to overcome these barriers and help people realize their full potential. ABF is also committed to restoring dignified living conditions through initiatives that range from access to medical care and emergency relief services for humanitarian crises, to basic necessities such as drinking water.

Since 2011, ABF has raised over 70 million euros, which has led to the construction of 10 schools in Italy and Haiti, ensuring daily access to equitable, high-quality education for more than 20,000 students. Furthermore, ABF has implemented welfare projects that ensure access to drinking water and basic medical care for over 400,000 people living in the most remote and poorest areas of Haiti. The foundation also implements and promotes educational projects that use music as a further tool for social inclusion and talent development, in line with Objective 4.7 of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
